Hydraulic balancing is an important means to ensure a need-based, consistent heat supply. For surface heating, Simplex now presents the market innovation "Simplex Energy Control System" - Secos for short. The manifold simultaneously records the volume flow and the temperature of the heating medium digitally as well as permanently. The innovative valve technology with ceramic disc valves adjusts the heating zones fully automatically and regulates the flow as required. This results in maximum energy savings during operation. Also, over- or undersupply is effectively prevented. There is no need for balancing valves.Simplex Secos Brochure
The Secos manifold is equipped with innovative driving units. These operate more energy-efficiently than standard thermoelectric actuators, as they only consume electricity when the ceramic disc valve is adjusted. "We are talking about approximately one second per adjustment process," explains Nicolai Ebert, Productline Sales Manager at Simplex. "By comparison, conventional thermoelectric actuators require around five to seven minutes to open - and consume correspondingly bigger amounts of power.
With the Secos, the real volume flows and temperatures are recorded digitally by the multisensors. Depending on the situation, the interval adapts to the measuring cycles. On the basis of the data, the energy-saving regulation performs the hydraulic balancing of the heating zones permanently and fully automatically. Their under- or oversupply is thus avoided.
Simplex delivers the Secos completely pre-wired, the driving units only have to be mounted on site by plug-in assembly. This considerably reduces the installation effort. Automatic flushing, filling and venting also save time. The subsequent initial setup and presetting are carried out via a Bluetooth connection using a smartphone or tablet.
The new Simplex control system for surface heating can be flexibly combined with different types of installation and floor structures. It also gives the user a free choice with regard to the room thermostat. "Customers place just as high demands on functionality as they do on aesthetics. With the Secos, we are meeting this demand," says Nicolai Ebert. He adds: "With this control system, we also smart home connection."
An interface to the building management can also be implemented. Thus, not only important information about the system are collected, but it is also easier to be informed of any malfunctions and thus react to them.
The Secos is suitable for heating and cooling systems in new buildings or in the renovation of private and public buildings with the option of connecting a 1″ manifold bar. The ceramic disc valves guarantee a long service life. The purchase is eligible for funding under the BaFa and Kfw programmes.
From the heat source to heat emission to heat distribution, Flamco, Meibes and Simplex cover a broad spectrum of innovative building technology systems. This internationally active group of companies has specialised in technical products and systems in the fields of installations, heating, cooling and solar solutions. The sister companies belong to Aalberts N.V. of the Netherlands.
